Dvorgr Creation Myth
Many thousands of years ago, when the clay of the world began to harden and crack under its own weight, some of the pieces came together and made progenitors of the Dvorgr. Crafted from the essence of creation, the Jotnar set about the cooling, crumbling world and began to build out of the very clay their own flesh came from. Soon, the foundation of the world was built, although the clay-made Dvorgr were constantly besieged by the forces of entropy and chaos. Stripping the Jotnar’s immortality away from them, the Elemental Chaos made them mortal, as all things must die; fortunately for the crafty Jotnar, this meant that Chaos, too, could die. And she did, hurled into the swirling maelstrom of creation and destruction beneath the world.
The progenitor of the Dvorgr race was a Jotnar called Kahaleg. Great Kahaleg managed to save some of the clay shards and creation-essence from his fallen brothers and sisters. Using only his bare hands and the raw elements around him, he wrought seven small beings in the image of the Jotnars, and set them upon the world. These beings he called Dvorgr, and each became the . The other surviving Jotnars went off to the four corners of the world and breathed life into their own creations.
Eventually, Chaos caught up with the Jotnars one at a time, and one at a time they melded back into the world.
